The WF-8945 provides power distribution, breakers/fuses for both the 12v and 120v systems in the Solis.
120v Side #
The 120v components of the WF-8945 include a small breaker panel which feeds the Air Conditioner and all 120v outlets. It is very similar to a home breaker panel. The only additional item on the 120v side is a power converter/charger that converts shore power or generator power to the 12v system to both charge the batteries and run any 12v accessories (lights, fridge, etc). The charger is optimized for charging AGM batteries and there is no switch or settings to optimize for lithium.
12v Side #
The 12v fuse panel on the WF-8945 protects all of the 12v systems and is a central distribution point. The fuses are standard automotive fuses.
The charging converter uses the following settings for charging:
- Max of 45 Amps DC
- Absorption 13.6V DC
- Bulk 14.4V DC
- Float 13.2V DC
Notes and Tips #
- When connected to shorepower or the generator is running, the converter/charger fan will run. This is typically described as a buzzing noise from the panel
