ESP32 devices can be utilized for many small electronic tasks. Initially I had planned on having a few of the devices around the Solis, but found out I could add many services to one unit.
Projects I have completed with ESP32 devices and ESPHome software:
- AGS – ESP32 Device 1 – Auto Generator Start/Stop.
- Takes a 3.3v signal from the Venus OS/Cybex GX and starts the generator and stop it when signal is low. Seems easy, but timing is important to the process (OEM switch is a momentary rocker Start/Stop)
- Truma heater/water interface – ESP32 Device 2 – Simple web interface to adjust Truma settings
- Truma uses LIN protocol, once you have the UART converter, the software is pretty easy to get setup.
- Various Bluetooth interfaces – ESP32 Device 1
