There Truma Combi Eco is a combination propane heater and hot water heater. It runs off of propane and 12v power for the controls and fans.
Solis 2021 mid year change #
Solis manufactured after May 2021 have the forth vent which was previously blocked, ducted to the Nautilus water distribution center in the back to reduce the likelihood of that area freezing during cold weather.
The duct starts at the Truma, runs under the bathroom to the electrical area under the rear drawer. Finally routing across under the floor and back to the water panel.
Some owners have added this to their pre-May 2021 Solis as freezing can be a major problem in those areas.
Notes and Tips #
- The heater is quite efficient and puts out air around 180 degrees Fahrenheit. It will melt whatever is in front of the heat ports.
- There is a vent in the bathroom which can be used to dry clothing.
- The water heater has three settings:
- Eco – Water temperature of approx 104 degrees
- Hot – Water temperature of approx 140 degrees
- Boost – Water temperature of approx 144 degrees (disables the cabin heat to give the water priority)
- Once turned on, it takes approx 20-40 min for the water to heat up.
- When turning on, verify the propane is on in both locations otherwise the Truma won’t start and an error will be displayed
- The main Truma unit also has an on/off switch at the top of it which can be switched off accidentally. If there are errors when using the Truma check that the switch is on also.
